Why it's different
Volleyball rewards height above almost everything else. Balley-Ball rewards timing, throwing accuracy, and catching — skills that don't require being the tallest player on the court. Throw your ball to play the game ball higher than you could ever jump, but land your own ball first and you hand the point to the other team. It's a real risk-reward decision on every play, and it opens the sport to a much wider range of players and body types than traditional volleyball.
